OUR SPACES
Effective Fall 2025, new users to our Audio Recording Booth or Media Studio will need to complete a two-step certification process before booking their first session.
Our Digitization Station, Gaming and Virtual Reality studios do not require completion of a certification module.
BOOK YOUR STUDIO SPACE
No Certification Required
An Epson 12000XL-PH large format flatbed scanner is available for digitizing print materials, photographs, slides, negatives. The scanner has a 12.2″ x 17.2″ scanning area with up to 2400 dpi optical resolution.
Workstation capacity: 2 People.
The gaming studio includes three video game consoles: a Nintendo Switch, a PlayStation 5 and an XBox Series S. We offer a small selection of games to try.
No food or eating in the studio. Drinks with lids are permitted.
Users can book up to 2 hours per day.
Room capacity: 5 People.
Our VR studio is equipped with a HTC Vive Pro set, a workstation, base station, and additional screen.
First-time users must receive a brief orientation from staff before using the studio.
No food or drink in the studio.
Do not remove equipment from the room.
Users can book up to 4 hours per day.
Room capacity: 4 People.
Certification Required
The recording booth features equipment to support sound capture. This soundproof room is ideal for recording voice-overs for video, podcasts and music.
- Audio-Technica ATH-M40x Headphones.
- Audio-Technica AT4040 Condenser Microphone.
- Scarlett 2i4 2nd Gen Digital Audio Interface.
- Ableton Live Recording and Mixing Software.
- Ableton Push controller (available for use in the DSC; must be requested separately).

Users can book up to 2 hours per day.
Room capacity: 2 People.
Intended for the creation of video and photography projects, the space includes a backdrop, professional grade lighting, microphones, an object photography light box and a mirrorless camera for still photography and video.
No food or eating in the studio. Drinks with lids are permitted.
Do not remove equipment from the room.
Allot extra time for studio set-up/take-down.
Users can book up to 4 hours per day.
Room capacity: 4 People.
